The Uber driverless cars spotted in Pittsburg, Pennysylvania, USA have gotten a lot of attention.
Uber has been test running self-driving cabs and the company isn’t keeping it hush-hush for reasons best known to them.
Uber announced this project in February and partnered with Carnegie Mellon University for its research on self-driving vehicles. Uber even opened up an “Advanced Technologies Centre” for this project – we’re talking labs, scientists and ‘Sheldon Cooper’ experimental magic. LOL.
The international transportation network has been said to have adapted Ford’s Fusion for its driverless car project. According to digital trends, the project is an early research effort as regards mapping, safety and autonomous systems.
Look on the bright side. Apart from handing life to a machine, the Uber breathalyzer kiosk would give you a free ride home, in case you didn’t handle the alcohol right.
