Today at the Cannes Lions festival, details of a new company called Truffle Pig was discussed on MailOnline’s Yacht.
Jon Steinberg (CEO of Daily Mail North America), Sir Martin Sorrell (founder and CEO of advertising agency, WPP), Evan Spiegel (Snapchat co-founder), and Alexander Jutkowitz (Managing Partner, Group SJR) made the announcement on how they have been planning to evolve content planning and creation processes with their ‘Truffle Pig’.
According to Steinberg, a truffle pig finds the rare and tasty. “With the need for story-driven marketing on our sites and those of other media companies, and new ad formats like Snapchat, brands need a truffle pig”, Steinberg said.
The new company, which will consist the teaming up of Daily mail, Snapchat and WWP, will play the roles of a global marketing agency and newsroom, and will offer brands content planning, development and creation as well as amplification across digital media sites and platforms.
